The Corporate Manslaughter & Corporate Homicide Act 2007 comes into effect in April 2008 with the specific objective of making it easier to secure a conviction against a Company who are in flagrant breach of Health & Safety Regulations which have resulted in an employees death.  A successful prosecution gives the courts powers to impose an unlimited fine and gives an indication of how seriously breaches of duties of care in relation to Helath & Safety are taken.
